Safety

Safety at sea is essential. Before each exit we will take 10 minutes to explain some behaviors to use at sea in order to make you spend your day safely. The Captain is responsible for the vessel and the crew.

Before leaving, secure the safety lanyard around your arm or leg in order to turn off the engine in case of accidental fall.

Wear life jackets if you can’t swim, you’ll find one for each crew member inside each vehicle.

Always pay attention to everything around you while sailing like other boats, obstacles, buoys, divers and bathers.

Always maintain a moderate speed and reduce it to a maximum of 3 knots when entering or leaving the port or if you are near to a bathstop . Any wrong maneuver at a minimum speed can always be corrected, on the contrary you risk doing damage to things or people.

Always check the seabed before anchoring for a bath stop, do not give bottom to the anchor if you can not see the seabed or if it is more than 10 meters deep. Once anchored make sure that the anchor has taken hold before turning off the engine, otherwise repeat the operation.

Once out of the port of San Vito Lo Capo the closest landing point is the port of Castellammare del Golfo, about 13 miles away.

It is absolutely forbidden to approach the coast or to pass the buoys that delimit the bathing area.
